Here’s How the Sentra Beats the Civic Besides Price

Tuesday, March 15th, 2016
Sentra Civic Montgomery

Compare the Nissan Sentra to other vehicles available in Montgomery, and you quickly see why this sedan takes the lead. It starts pulling ahead in terms of pricing and continues a firm lead when you look at the other statistics, from Nissan reliability to efficiency.

Even without knowing anything about cars, it is easy to tell that the Sentra is much more affordable than the Civic. The Civic starts at $18,640 MSRP, which is low enough for most Montgomery drivers on a budget. However, nearly anyone can afford the Sentra thanks to its starting price of just $16,780 MSRP.

Driving the Sentra instead of the Civic will also save you money over time, largely because of fuel economy. The base engine in the Nissan is a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder while the Honda starts off with a 2-liter 4-cylinder. Since the Sentra’s engine is slightly smaller, it is able to get better fuel economy, 29 mpg* city and 39 mpg* highway compared to  Civic’s 27 mpg city* and 40 mpg* highway.

Overall, the Nissan Sentra simply has a better value. It starts at a lower price, and the two models have a similar list of standard and available features, including 17-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, driver assistance systems, LED headlights, and smartphone connectivity.

For 2016, the Sentra received a styling upgrade and now matches several of the other Nissan models, such as the Maxima and Altima. This is a rare chance for Montgomery drivers to drive a stylish compact sedan without breaking the bank.

You can take the Nissan Sentra for a test drive around Montgomery, Alabama, with the help of the team at Jack Ingram Nissan. A quick drive will be all it takes to convince you that this sedan leaves the competition far behind.
