With the unveiling of the all-new 2019 Nissan Altima, coming soon in fall of 2018, plenty of drivers are looking forward to the next model year of Nissan cars. To begin, the Nissan Maxima and the Nissan Altima offer efficient performance in their respective classes. The Maxima is a full-size sedan, while the Altima is considered midsize. With its standard 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine, the 2018 Maxima churns out a cool 300 horsepower. This engine gets drivers an EPA-estimated 21 MPG when driving in the city and 30 MPG when driving on the highway*. The Maxima offers one V6 engine option, while the Altima offers two options.
